Memoires pour Mac

Journal quotidien avec style.

2.9

Just purchased today and I already have problems with it. 1. I get a black screen when I click on "full screen". 2. It shut itself down and lost half of my first entry upon reopening. I want my $29.95 back. This is ridiculous for what it is...especially since it didn't work correctly.

I use Memoires every single day as a place to capture notes and todos at work. I've tried and purchased a myriad of task managers (such as Things.app), note-taking tools (such as Evernote), and document "buckets" (like Yojimbo), and never managed to find a consistent workflow that I was happy with. Memoires is ridiculously simple. I enjoy taking notes and filing them by date. I take pictures of whiteboards at meetings with my iPhone and paste them into my notes for later reference. For "buckets" of research documents where the date isn't that important, I switch it to "All Entries" view. Files stored by Memoires also work consistently across machines sharing a Dropbox account. This isn't always the case with other pieces of journaling software out there. Though it uses Sqlite for storage, I'd appreciate seeing would be the ability to export my entries to another database-like format, even if it were CSV, XML, or something like that. Again, Memoires isn't fancy, but it works, and I was happy to pay for something void of clutter that I use almost every day.

Too expensive for what it offers and this is what's holding this app back, imho. Simple interface is fine but then simple price as well, please. Could well benefit from some non-cluttering features while making it somewhat more interesting and useful, i.e. discreetly tagging entries. Other diary apps offers this plus the features of "Video Memoires" (sibling app from same developer, also @ +$29.95) baked into the $29.95-license fee and has equal looks although some, granted, are over-crowded with buttons... :/ Osciroi brings some fresh winds to the Mac diary-app scene, and with an unbelievable price.

Over priced. Tried it for a week but doesn't work with Typeit4me. A must. It appears expansions created from auto pastes dont work. Only ten entries allowed for the trial which is ridiculous. We were almost prepared to over look the Typeit4me incompatibility but when we hit the ten entries limit we exported and it went straight into the trash. Also had to manually open the database each time a real pain.
